I was listening to my year-end playlist on Spotify when I realized that this was a year that I really tried to listen to music that tapped into the inner joy within me!

There’s a quote about music that says, “Where words leave off, music begins.” by Heinrich Heine that I feel summarizes this idea so well…sometimes, words can’t describe feelings like joy, but music can. How true! Given this, I actually created a second post—with more joy songs!

Here are 10 songs that truly light up the inner joy within me—see if any do the same for you!

#10: “Joy To Be” by Citizens and Chaunda Jefferson

When I listen to this more faith-based song, I truly feel such an alignment and gratitude with joy. I always imagine that if I were to ever create a documentary about joy, this would be the song at the end of the movie when the credits begin. It just sums up joy for me so well.

“Oh the joy to be, joy to know
It’s when I decrease
You fill up my soul
What a joy to see, joy to hold
It’s when you increase
I want nothing more”

Citizens and Chaunda Jefferson
