After writing my first post on 10 Joy Songs, I realized there are so many songs out there that epitomize the feeling of joy so well!

It always amazes me the power of music to transition us from maybe feeling a little down-in-the-dumps to pure joy!

I think this often happens when people are driving and a certain song comes on—suddenly it makes you look up at the sky and around you for a second and realize how good (+joyful!) life really is! Maybe you start singing out loud, put the windows down, and soak up that moment of joy!

So, here’s my follow-up post, 10 (more!) joy songs-see if any resonate with you!

#1: “Joy” by Andy Grammer

What a great song to start this post off with!

This song follows Andy Grammer’s journey through all the (often the not-so-fun) feelings that we sometimes encounter in life. His message though—the feeling of joy always triumphs!

How true and beautiful a message is that?

“I found joy, yeah, she opened up my eyes
And gave me wings and halo rings and taught me how to fly”

Andy Grammar, “Joy”

#2: “Here and Now” by Kenny Chesney

While not specifically on joy, I love this song for its message of promoting, as Eckhart Tolle’s talks about on his book, being here Now!

The best time is truly “Here And Now”. It’s so sweet-and filled with endless joy!

Kenny Chesney’s song follows this path of finding the joy of the present moment, in his country style of music!

“Everybody’s waitin’, but they’re waiting on what
Better get to livin’, ‘cause all we’ve got is
Here and now”

Kenny Chesney, “Here and Now”

#3: “Life is Beautiful” by The Afters

As the title suggests, this song is an expression of just how beautiful life really is!

During the song, it goes through a list of the amazingly beautiful things to experience in life—like seeing holiday lights!

Like the previous song, this song isn’t about joy specifically, but this song is a powerful reminder of the joy of being alive!

“These are things that make us feel alive
These are the times that make us realize
Life is beautiful”

The Afters, “Life is Beautiful”

#4: “Medicine Blessing” by Maneesh de Moor

While an instrumental song, “Medicine Blessing” is a joyful one!

For me, it makes me feel into the joy of nature and Mother Earth. Whenever I hear it, it makes me feel like I’m on a hike somewhere in the tropics surrounded by our beautiful planet and living in my joy!

I saw this quote on Pinterest by Sigurd F. Olson (an environmentalist!) that says, ““Joys come from simple and natural things; mist over meadows, sunlight on leaves, the path of the moon over water. Even rain and wind and stormy clouds bring joy.” So truthful. Nature really is powerful-and such a strong tool to recenter us into our own inner joy. To me, this song encapsulates all of that!

#5: “Joyful” by Ginger & Pear

I recently discovered this song in my research for this post, and it is amazing!

It has a lot of the same vibes as “Touch The Sky” from Brave which I listed in my 25 Children’s Songs About Joy post! More folk nature, it really makes me feel so peaceful and joyful when I listen to it! I, also, love how this song has some powerful “I Am” statements in it!

“Staying in motion is staying alive
And when we’re at rest we are listening
We hear the Earth sing, “Joyful, joyful””

Ginger & Pear, “Joyful”

#6: “Be A Light” by Thomas Rhett, Reba McEntire, Hillary Scott, Chris Tomlin and Keith Urban

When our world feels like it is weighing a lot on us (as I talked about in my post on feeling joy when the world feels heavy), sometimes the best—and only thing— we can do is just be a light. A light of pure joy for others and for ourselves.

This song, sung by a cast of legends in the country music scene, is really all about that idea—be a light in this world!

“In a world full of hate, be a light
When you do somebody wrong, make it right
Don’t hide in the dark, you were born to shine”

Thomas Rhett, Reba McEntire, Hillary Scott, Chris Tomlin and Keith Urban, “Be A Light”

#7: “Smile” by Sidewalk Prophets

“Smile” by the Sidewalk Prophets has this one lyric quoted below about joy that I love, “There’s always a reason To always choose joy” YES!

There’s a quote by Ann Voskamp that says, “Joy is a choice.”—and it truly is!

It can so easy to fall back into our conditioned patterns from the past as Dr. Joe Dispenza talks about.
However, to live with more joy in life, you have to make the conscious intention and subsequent action to choose joy!

In addition to this awesome lyric, this song is such a fun one—and helps to always make me smile and tap me into my inner joy!

“There’s always a reason
To always choose joy
There’s something deeper
That the world can’t destroy”

Sidewalk Prophets, “Smile”

#8: “Gratitude” by Jason Mraz

I love me some gratitude/appreciation!

After learning more about taking time to grateful/thinking of things you appreciate from my mentors, it has truly helped me to live a life filled with more joy! It’s a simple-yet extremely powerful-practice.

There is truly so much to be grateful for in life. So much.

While not on joy specifically, this song highlights this idea and even lists some things that Jason Mraz is grateful for that might not be what you would think one would be grateful for.

“And I’m grateful to gratitude itself (thank you)
It helps me look for the good (thank you)”

Jason Mraz, “Gratitude”

#9: “blue sky mind” by Trevor Hall

This song, in my opinion, is all about the power of meditation. The power of meditation to get you to that “blue sky mind” feeling of joy. Where you are tuned, tapped in, and living in that inner joy within you that is available always.

While short, it is a powerful one on living and getting into your blue sky mindset!

“How you gonna get through this time?
Falling into a blue sky mind”

Trevor Hall, “blue sky mind”

#10: “Joy” by Bastille

To round off this list, “Joy” by Bastille is such a uplifting song!

In it, Bastille sings about the moments in life when we slip into feeling struggle, yet joy is there always. It doesn’t care who, what, where, when, etc.—it is always there and ready for us to tap into!

“Oh Joy, when you call me
I was giving up, oh I was giving in
Joy
Set my mind free”

Bastille, “Joy”
