Hello, there! I wanted to drop this quick note before the blog post.

New ideas have been springing forth, and— as a result— I’ve been more quiet here.

This is all balancing out with the new ideas coming, and I deeply appreciate your patience with things being a little different around here in the meantime.

I’ll share more details soon.

Here’s the blog post; I hope you enjoy!

This month, I broke the old drone out.

I’ve had my drone pilot license for years, but— to be honest—the idea of actually using it, kinda terrified me.

So, I thought, “Let’s just try it. You’ll only get more comfortable when you actually practice with it more.

When I was just about to go for a walk one evening, I found myself staring out at the yard, pondering how the lighting and stillness of the wind made it a great time to try out the drone.

The walk never happened, but I did get some drone practice in.

Verdict: it was quite lovely.

And, I’m a little less scared of drone flying.

Is it where I ultimately want my drone photography skills to be? Not yet. Is it a good start? Absolutely.

You hear this idea all the time; don’t wait for everything to be perfect before you dive in. You’ll be imperfect when you first start, but you are going to get to your ultimate goals by simply just starting at that imperfect beginning.

Imperfection doesn’t mean it’s not beautiful, instead it is more so. It shows you are human. It shows you are a soul who is wishing to make this world a little better.

Practice honestly makes im-perfect. And that’s perfect.

If it helps, look back at your own experiences you feel confident in now. For me, I consider strength training. I feel so much stronger (physically and metaphorically) with it than when I started, but I needed to have an imperfect start to get here.

So, if there’s something you are wanting to do, but feeling nervous about being an imperfect beginner, remember you’re only going to get to be a “master” by being simply starting.

P.S. In case you are wondering…. I posted a reel on Instagram of some of my footage. But, you can also see the picture I took below. May it bring some prettiness to your already beautiful day.

Cheers, darling!
