Welcome back to Joy and Tell where I “show and tell” things from the week that brought me joy–and hope they do the same for you!

This week was all about feeling coziness, warm hearts and wonder.

Here’s Joy and Tell for the week!

1.) It’s a WONDER-ful Life

After getting the first big snow of the holiday season last week, it has since all melted when the temperatures were in the 50s earlier in the week.

In between the two extremes, there was Sunday. When the temperatures were beginning to melt the snow and ice-but not quite yet-what was left was beautiful.

I took a walk outside and really felt something when I looked upon the lake and saw the chilly winter sky meeting the half-defrosted, half frosted lake. And then, I realized what I was feeling was really feeling was a deep sense of wonder.

It felt so fitting then that in my series on joy feelings each month, I wrote about the feeling of wonder for December this week. I love when things when work together so surreptitiously!

2.) Favorite Comfy Clothes

I have been living in this comfy pair of pants and matching sweater. I enjoy the colors, the fit, and-perhaps the biggest thing-how comfortable they are. They are sweatpants that are really stylish-how wonderful is that? With plans to travel in the new year, I’m looking forward to honoring their name on the airplane!

When I venture outside, I’m loving my hat, scarf and mittens by small business, SH*T I KNIT. Super warm, cute, and I love how they are sustainably made!

3.) British Baking Vibes

Continuing the trend of cozy, I have been watching The Great British Bake Off on Netflix pretty much non-stop since I wrapped up my marathon of Lord of the Rings.

Paul’s hard exterior but soft interior and Prue’s soft exterior but hard interior combine in such a fun way that makes this series such a delight.

Plus, it’s so fun to watch with a cup of tea and a favorite dessert in hand-a true tribute the Great Britain!

#4: A Tribute to Bert

As of today, Dike Van Dyke is officially 99 years old!

To celebrate, Coldplay‘s Chris Martin and Dick got together to sing “ALL MY LOVE”. It’s a sweet video with reflections by Dick of his 99 years on the planet… and he offers such a sense of joy to all those who are watching. Check out the video here.

Cheers to 99 years for our favorite chimney sweep!

#5: A Hygge Starry Night

I ordered paper stars to create a starry night light display in one of the windows-and was pleasantly surprised by how much I love them!

They give off very Scandinavian winter hygge vibes and seem like they came straight out of a winter night sky!

As a bonus, since they give off such wonderful winter-y vibes, I’m going to keep them up as winter decorations in the new year!

Thanks for tagging along! Until next week!
