Hard to believe, but this month marks FOUR years since I hit publish on my very first post for The Joyfilled Seeker. It’s fittingly all about what joy really means, and I can still feel the butterflies in my stomach I had when I hit that publish button on it.
In celebration of my two year blog-iversary, I wrote this post which was a letter to my younger self all about the adventure of The Joyfilled Seeker coming up, and-in complete honesty- it was very healing to write that post. It was like I was giving a lighthouse to that younger Claire that really felt quite lost and really not entirely sure what she was dreaming was going to come true.
Being two years later, it feels oh-so-fitting to write another letter. But, this time to my older self. My future self. The one who I aspire to be. The one whose dreams came true.
Here it is.

Dear Future Claire,
At this moment, I hope you’re dancing barefoot on the grass listening to the ocean waves, living a life beyond your wildest dreams.
I dream you’ve fallen head over heels in love with life and that life just loves you right back.
That this space is one of pure joy for everyone, and creativity flows like blood through your veins.
Inspiration and bliss in abundance.
I wish for celebrations of how far you’ve come.
And endless “cheers!” moments with your people gathered around.
For sunrise and sunset skies that make you ponder in the beauty of our world, and big aspirations to keep growing towards.
I picture carefree laughter and serendipity.
Of adventures far and wide.
For sunshine, blue skies, and wildflowers for as far as the eye can see.
I smell fresh spring air, lilacs and dreams.
Little moments of joy sprinkled throughout every moment, I envision.
And an endless appreciation for everything.
Above all, I see younger Claire standing there looking at you and thinking, “Can it really all come true?”
To which you reply with a laugh and a smile, “Yes.”
I hope I make you proud.
Love, Younger Claire
