Welcome to the first post for the series, Joyfilled People, where people are asked to simply finish the sentence “Joy, to me, is…”.

A few weeks ago in meditation, I had this sudden realization that before I ask others to finish the sentence of “Joy, to me, is…” for themselves, how do I answer it for myself?

So, I thought I would ask the deepest part of me, my intuition, to finish this sentence to kick off this series!

Keep reading to find out what I heard when I asked my intuition to answer this question of “What Joy means to me?”.

“Joy, to me, is…”

Growing up, I always had a strong connection with my intuition. Yet, it has only been recently that I came to discover this.

I knew growing up that I always felt a strong gut instinct with nearly everything that I did. It was almost a sense of feeling like “how could I ever go against my gut?” it felt so strong.

And looking back, it has been amazing to see the results of this. Opportunities showed up. People came when needed. Little magic moments ensued. It’s amazing when you are connected to your intuition to see the serendipities that follow!

So, with all this, it felt fitting before I embark on this new series of asking others to tap into that sense of joy and discover what it means to them on this Earth, I needed to hear how my intuition defined joy.

Here’s what my intuition said:

Honestly, this makes so much sense.

When I reached my rock bottom moment in life, what TRULY gave me such a profound sense of joy was feeling connected to spirit.

Knowing there was something higher than me. Feeling a sense of relief that this higher power has given me a purpose here to accomplish, and believing I am always being guided toward that.

My connection with spirit constantly amazes me. It gives me a sense of wonder, of awe and a deep, deep, deep sense of the joy of being alive to experience it all.

That spiritual radiance that I talked about in my post on January’s Spiritual Radiance seems to ring so true— when you truly live with this connection to a higher power or reason, the joy that comes from that is indescribable.

Whenever I feel connected to all there is and realize how connected we all are, there is such a profound sense of joy! It puts everything into perspective—for the better!

As we embark on this series, feel free to ask yourself and your intuition what it says to finish this sentence… “Joy, to me, is…”!
