Ask me since childhood what my all-time favorite season is, and I would say autumn without hesitation.
While this adventure through the seasons these past few years has turned me into a I-truly-love-every season kind of person… I would still whisper to you,”But, autumn’s my favorite.”
There is simply nothing like the cooler weather, the leaves having the most masterful hues, the scents of cinnamon, pumpkin, apple wafting, and the overall vibe of this season that seems to speak to my soul—and so many others!
One of my favorite parts of fall is when it’s dinnertime, and whilst I am stirring a pot of stew or a hearty soup… I have music playing that just makes the moment feel completely autumnal.
Here are some of my go-to autumn playlists.

#1: Autumn Jazz
When I reflect on what “feels” autumnal to me when it comes to music, I always find myself narrowing it down to two things—jazz and crooners. There’s a simplicity to be found underneath each which just adds to the overall mood this season brings. This Spotify jazz playlist is a great one when you are feeling jazzy, too.
#2: “Autumn In New York” Playlist
“Autumn in New York” is one of those songs that always makes the rounds each fall, and I’m honestly not surprised. It encompasses that crooner vibe with the feel of autumn into one. This playlist is based on that song.
#3: Ophelia Wilde’s A Playlist for a Quiet Morning (Autumn Version)
Ophelia Wilde produces some of my favorite instrumental playlists—year round. Focusing on a specific mood or feeling, these playlists are plentiful for each and every emotion you feel during the four seasons. Here’s a playlist take on what a quiet autumn morning feels like.
#4: Vivaldi Mandolin Concertos
Not sure what it is about the mandolin, but something about it makes me picture myself at a Renaissance Faire on a sunny autumn day…very specific isn’t it? I was first introduced to one of Vivaldi’s Mandolin Concertos on Classic FM and immediately fell in love. I love how this playlist gives off a mood of classical autumn.
#5: Good Witch Soundtracks
There’s always a show in your life that just feels like home. It’s comforting, and you truly get a sense of peace when you turn it on again. One of those shows for me is Hallmark Channel’s Good Witch movies and series. I love how wholesome it is. I’ve also found myself a HUGE fan of the show’s music. This playlist combines all the music into one place, and it’s a favorite listen come autumn.
Any songs/playlists you love to listen to each autumn?
